Topweight Almandin has drawn barrier five in the Sydney Cup for owner Lloyd Williams and jockey Damien Oliver.

The 2016 Melbourne Cup winner is the favourite for the $2 million staying feature over 3200 metres at Randwick on Saturday.

Caulfield Cup runner-up Single Gaze will start from the outside gate in the field of 20 plus one emergency.

Her jockey Kathy O'Hara drew the barrier and said Single Gaze would roll forward in what will be her final start.
