THURSDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Richmond 1.38 v Hawthorn 3.10
TIP - Margin - Richmond 25+ @ 2.30
TIP - Most Goals - Jack Gunston @ 9.00
Richmond come into this off the back of six consecutive wins but last years champs have been pushed all the way in recent weeks and are not looking as sharp as they did earlier in the season.
The Tigers were less than convincing in round 23 against the Bulldogs holding on late to win 98-95, they have struggled in the final term the past two games which is most unusual for this team, maybe the long season has caught up with them!
Hawthorn also come into this off the back of six wins and they too have scraped over the line in their last few outings so no doubt the week off has done them a world of good in preparation for this weeks fixture.
The Hawks will be looking to take revenge after losing to the Tigers 102-89 in round 3 this year but they will need to be at their best if they are to come out on top.
Verdict - Richmond have been the best team all season on the whole and have already beaten the Hawks in round 3, Tiger win..
FRIDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Melbourne 1.75 v Geelong 2.10
TIP - Margin - Melbourne 25+ @ 3.30
TIP - Most Goals - Tom McDonald @ 3.40 - BEST BET
The Demons have won four of their last five now after demolishing the Giants 107-57 in round 23 and they may well be timing their run this season to perfection.
Melbourne's last two performances against the Giants and the Eagles on the road have indicated that they are hitting top gear at the right time and they are a serious threat to all.
Geelong after suffering a few losses in recent weeks had to win their last game against the Suns to secure their place in the top eight and they did that emphatically 142-40 with a dominant display.
The Cats will need more here but they have beaten the Demons twice this year (97-94, 100-98) and will take confidence from those results into this match hoping they have the Demons number.
Verdict - Past meetings this season suggest this one will be a tight affair but on current form the Demons should not only reverse the result they should win this well.

SATURDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Sydney 1.72 v GWS 2.15 - BEST BET
TIP - Margin - Sydney 1-24 @ 3.10
TIP - Most Goals - Jeremy Cameron @
With the Swans losing to the Hawks 83-74 in round 23 they missed their opportunity to finish in the top four and now have to do things the hard way if they are to get to the final this season.
Sydney 12 points up in the final term looked to be heading for victory but the Hawks came back at them late to take the points and fourth place.
GWS just did enough to finish in the top eight and with a injury hit squad of late they have lost their last two against Melbourne and against this weeks opponents the Swans 80-60 in round 22.
It will be tough for the Giants to overturn the recent loss here but at their best even with players missing they have the talent to beat anyone but they will need to be foot perfect throughout.
Verdict - The Swans have beaten their Sydney rivals twice this season and I expect them to make that three here.

West Coast 1.59 v Collingwood 2.40
TIP - Margin - West Coast 25+ @ 2.90 - BEST BET
TIP - Most Goals - Josh Kennedy @
The Eagles after losing at home to the Demons in round 22 finished the regular season off by beating the Lions at the Gabba 98-72 and will head into this fixture full of confidence.
West Coast will be hoping to emulate round 17's performance in which they beat the Pies comfortably 102-67 at the MCG and with home ground advantage here they may well do just that.
Collingwood have had a wonderful season finishing inside the top four but they will be hoping for more and will feel that they have a real chance of winning their first flag since 2010.
They needed to win their last game against the Dockers to secure a top four birth and although not at their best they found a way to win which shows character, something they will need to replicate here.
Verdict - They will miss the finals but North will want to finish off on a high note and should have enough to dispatch the Saints.
