No. 5 Wild Impact

Wild Impact is a lightly raced four year old mare who has been consistent so far in her short career. This is her first go beyond 1800m however her first two runs this time in suggest she will have no problem with the extra distance. Her main danger is the Australian Bloodstock horse however she should have a fitness edge on that horse.

No. 7 Taken Everything

Taken Everything was an impressive winner on debut back in December at Wyong and if Tommy Berry is willing to forgive her for her first up effort then so am I! The three year old Snitzel filly should be able to measure up to these and with even luck, she should be right in the finish.

No.4 I Am A Country Boy – Each Way

I Am A Country Boy broke through for his maiden win last time out at Gosford at his fifth race start and he is racing well enough to be competitive in this race. Seems over the odds and is worth an each way play.

No. 1 Dalon – Best Bet

Dalon has managed to only miss the placings twice in his 11 start career to date. His first up effort was encouraging and he will appreciate the step up in distance to 1300m in this. Tough to beat.

No. 5 Wild Impact

Wild Impact has improved through her two starts this time and strikes a winnable one third-up at Hawkesbury this afternoon. The Deep Impact fill worked home well but clearly needed the run when fourth over a mile at Randwick first-up last month and hit the line to finish second over 1800m here last time out. The rise in trip looks like it’ll suit, and she should get a decent run in this small field.

No. 2 Aurman Zou

Aurman Zou has shown good ability without breaking his maiden but looks well placed to record his first win at Hawkesbury this afternoon. The Zoustar gelding has run into a few smart ones this time in, but he is also clearly still learning his craft and there was a lot to like about the way he hit the line for a half-length third here last time out. He’s rock-hard fit and ready to salute.

No. 3 Secretively

Secretively has only had one career start so far, but he was tough to the line and will take wholesale improvement from the experience into the fourth at Hawkesbury this afternoon. The two-year-old son of Dawn Approach was taken forward from barrier 11 and was only past in the final 100m by a few smart ones, including Discharged and Kordia; the latter of whom recorded an impressive win at Canterbury yesterday. This looks far easier and he’ll take beating.

No. 2 Go Fish Go

Go Fish Go will carry winning form into the last at Hawkesbury today and I am confident that he can make it two in a row. The Lope De Vega gelding took up the running here at Hawkesbury on debut and was only beaten by a length, before being gelded and responding with an impressive win at Wyong three weeks ago. He will need a little bit of luck from the wide draw, but he looks a nice type.

Wolf's Racing Tips - Thursday 23rd May 2019

The Wolf’s best bet had no luck whatsoever first up and has struck a suitable race to make amends.

Pakenham Race 7, No.3; 9.00pm AEST

Ocean King - Wolf’s Best

The Wolf tipped Ocean King first up and as much as he loves John Allen, it is fair to say that he wasn’t praising his name after the race. Gary Lo takes over tonight with a two kilo claim, and while it can’t be said for sure that he would have won first up with a better ride, he would have gone very close. This looks a very winnable race.
Recommended Price: $3.50

Hawkesbury Race 1, No.1; 12.10pm AEST

Loveisili is a UK import with Kris Lees who did an excellent job on his Australian debut to run second, beaten just over half a length, at Newcastle. Stepping up to 2100m should be ideal and with the fitness benefit from that run under his belt he looks a great chance of notching his first Australian win.
Recommended Price: $3.50

Moree Race 3, No.1; 1.05pm AEST

Bon Vavont

Bon Vavont has been knocking on the door for a win and gets a perfect chance here in the third at Moree. He has placed second twice from four starts, and looks to get the gun run from barrier three with the ‘King of the West’ Greg Ryan up. Look for him to sit midfield and be strong through the line.
Recommended Price: $3.50

Townsville Race 4, No.7; 3.20pm AEST

Atherius won’t know herself here with 55.5Kg after not having raced with less than 60Kg at her last three starts, lumping 63.5Kg last time out. She gets back to set weights here and she earned those crushing handicap weights for a reason. She looks a class above.
Recommended Price: $2.50
