Australian GP 2018 Recap
What a start to the 2018 season, the Australian GP is renowned for being a hard circuit to overtake and once again this was the case. Hamilton got off to the perfect start from pole position and looked to have the race sewn up only for the safety car to intervene and spoil his plans.
Hamilton had already pitted and looked all but home barring engine trouble but when Romain Grosjean parked his Haas in an unsafe area after a pit lane malfunction the safety car was deployed enabling Vettel to make a quick pit stop and return to the race in front of a luckless Hamilton.
Lewis tried to gain the position back for a few laps but being on older tires he was always up against it and had to settle for second.
The main talking point to come out of the Australian GP has to be what went wrong with the two Haas cars??
Both cars were comfortable in the top six and then the drama unfolded as it was pit stop time.
Kevin Magnussen was the first in from the team and as the car was released after the stop you could quickly see there was an issues as the pit crew frantically tried to halt the Haas, shortly after Magnussen was out of the race due to his front left wheel not being secure.
A few laps later and in came Grosjean and once again the arm went up from the mechanic suggesting an issue and once again a few seconds later the Haas had been parked up on the side of the road with the same issue that had halted his team mates race.
Questions will need to be answered throughout the team as to what and why this occurred, not once but twice costing Haas what would have resulted in almost half the teams total points gained throughout the whole of the 2017 campaign.

Bahrain GP 2018 Preview
Lewis Hamilton has qualified inside the top two the last four years, twice as pole sitter and the other two behind his team mates Rosberg and Bottas so once again you would think that he would be right in the mix.
Lewis won in Bahrain in 2014 and 2015 and he finished third in 2016 and second last year so he has a proven track record here.
Vettel took the race in 2017 and also won back in 2013 but last year he was gifted the race after Hamilton was slow off the line and then was handed a five second penalty for holding up the Red Bull of Ricciardo in the pit lane which ultimately cost him the race.
Cars to look out for this year would have to once again be the Haas pair of Magnussen and Grosjean but this may well be one that the Mclaren's of Fernando Alonso andcould also get into the mix a decent odds.
Mclaren have already shown enough to suggest that this season with their new engine supplier (Renault) they can mix it with the big boys after finishing fifth and ninth in Australia.
It may well be too soon for podiums for them but they will improve out of sight over the season and should be challenging for top six honours in most races.
