FRIDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Storm 1.80 v Rabbitohs 2.05
TIP - Over 38.5 Points @ 1.88
TIP - Rabbitohs 1-12 @ 3.20
Hoping to claim top spot on the ladder the Storm took on the Panthers at home last week but after missing several opportunities to score in the first half the Storm ended up losing the game 22-16.
They did enough to win the match and will not lose too much sleep in the fact that they lost nor the fact that they missed out on topping the ladder but they won't want to make the same mistakes again this week in front of goal.
South Sydney after losing against the Raiders in round 24 needed to win last weeks clash against the Tigers to secure a top four birth heading into the finals and they saved one of their best performances of the season for when it was needed.
The Bunnies ran in eight tries on the night to secure a 51-10 victory and the performance will give them renewed confidence after some under par efforts in recent weeks.
Verdict - The Bunnies beat the Storm in round 21 and if they can reproduce last weeks effort look decent odds to beat them again.
SATURDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Panthers 1.76 v Warriors 2.10
TIP - Over 38 Points @ 1.88 - BEST BET
TIP - Panthers 1-12 @ 2.80
Penrith needed to win last week against the Storm and hope others above them lost to sneak into the top four on the ladder, they did their bit beating the Storm 22-16 but with the Sharks, Bunnies and Roosters all winning the Panthers had to settle for 5th.
The Panthers lost to the Warriors 36-16 only a few weeks ago so they will be wary of their opponents and will no doubt have analysed the game during the week hoping to learn where things went wrong.
The Warriors finished the regular season off strong winning four of their last five games to secure their finals place and they will be hoping they can continue their good form and progress even further.
They have a decent 8-4 record on the road this season so playing away will not worry them and they will be full of confidence after beating their rivals a few weeks ago, a similar effort should be good enough.
Verdict - Both can win this but preference is for the Panthers at home, good effort last week against the Storm will do their confidence no harm at all.

Roosters 1.57 v Sharks 2.45
TIP - Over 34.5 Points @ 1.88
TIP - Sharks 1-12 @ 3.50
With the Storm losing their game on Friday night against the Panthers the Roosters new a big victory against the Eels would see them finish top of the ladder and a 44-10 victory was enough to do just that.
The Roosters have already beaten the Sharks this season back in round 5 and they will be hoping for a similar result this weekend to see them safely through.
The Sharks had to beat the Bulldogs in their final match of the regular season to secure a top four finish and they managed to do just that winning comfortably 30-18.
Cronulla have the best form of the top four coming into the finals having won their last four games so they will be full of confidence that they can progress through to the Preliminary finals at the expense of the Roosters.
Verdict - Again another coin toss but the Sharks have the better recent form so slight preference is for them to come out on top.

SUNDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Broncos 1.30 v Dragons 3.65 - BEST BET
TIP - Over 41.5 Points @ 1.88
TIP - Broncos 13+ @ 2.05
After back to back wins the Broncos took on the Sea Eagles at home in their last game of the regular season and with a top eight birth already assured the pressure was off and it certainly showed as they ran out 48-16 winners.
Although the Broncos only finished 6th on the ladder they will be confident they can go all the way this year in one of the closest NRL seasons in recent memory.
The Dragons although winning their last game against the Knights 24-14 dropped down to 7th on the ladder but after such a poor second half to the season they will be glad they are playing finals football at all.
When they are on song the Dragons are a match for anyone and they will have to find their 'A' game if they are to have any chance against the Broncos, the away draw certainly won't help matters.
Verdict - Should be only one winner here on current form, the Broncos for me to win comfortably.
