Panthers 1.57 v Tigers 2.40

TIP - Under 40 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Penrith 13+ @ - 2.85

The Panthers moved into second place on the ladder when they beat the Knights 29-18 on the road last week, Reagan Campbell-Gillard got them off to the perfect start scoring a try inside five minutes and the Panthers controlled the game from there on in.

Penrith now have two home games before the first bye round and they will want to win both games to solidify themselves in the top four.

The Tigers remain 7th on the ladder after beating the Cowboys at home 20-12 last week taking their record to 6-4 this season.

A mixed bag for the Tigers this season on the road with a record of 2-2 but their performance last week suggests that they are ready for the test here.

Verdict - The Panthers have only lost once at home this season and I would expect that record to be stretched to 5-1 here if they get off to a good start.

Eels 2.20 v Warriors 1.64

TIP - Over 38.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Warriors 1-12 @ 3.00

Parramatta after two wins on the spin went down last week when they lost to the Bulldogs 20-12, they lost the game due to their poor discipline with Canterbury scoring 8 points from silly penalties conceded by the Eels.

The Eels still remain bottom of the ladder but a win here could see them move off the bottom and with them 8 points adrift of 8th place they really need to start rolling.

The Warriors slipped down to third on the ladder after suffering their third loss of the season at the hands of the Roosters last week, the game finished 32-0 to the Roosters.

The Warriors have now lost two from six at home this season but they are performing better than usual on the road with a record of 3-1 and they will need to keep that up if they are to stay in the top four.

Verdict - Hopefully the Warriors can put things right this week and get back to winning ways, should have too much for the Eels if they come back to form.

Broncos 2.25 v Roosters 1.62

TIP - Under 40.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Roosters 1-12 @ 3.00

The Broncos suffered their fifth defeat of the season last week when they lost their away tie against Manly 38-24 conceding six tries in the process.

With that loss the Broncos lose more ground and remain outside the top 8 but with two home games before the bye round they will want to rectify that.

Sydney made it two wins in as many games when they beat the Warriors 32-0 last week away putting in their best performance of the season in the process.

The currently sit sixth on the ladder but are only two points behind the Panthers in second place and another win here may move them into the top four.

Verdict - If the Roosters play as they did last week they should come away victorious but the Broncos should give them a stern test.

Titans 2.00 v Knights 1.77

TIP - Over 45.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Knights 1-12 @ 2.95

No win in five games now for the Titans after last weeks 28-14 loss away to the Melbourne Storm, the Titans took a 14-8 lead into the half time interval but failed to score a single point in the second half as Melbourne upped their game to claim the win.

With that loss the Titans slip down to 15th on the ladder with only the Eels behind them and desperately need to win to keep their finals hopes alive.

Although the Knights lost last weeks clash against the Panthers they can take some positives out of the 29-18 defeat due to the way they played throughout the match.

The turning point came late in the first half when a certain Knights try turned into a Panthers try due to a loose pass taking the Panthers out to an 18-6 lead and put them in control of the match.

Verdict - The Knights have shown enough in recent weeks to suggest they can win this on the road but the Titans will give them a run for their money.

Cowboys 2.10 v Rabbitohs 1.73

TIP - Under 38.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Cowboys 1-12 @ 3.15

Another loss last week against the Tigers sees the Cowboys slip down to 14th on the ladder with only three wins from ten outings this season.

They are hanging by a thread in this seasons competition and they will need to put several wins together if they are to get back into the race, they do have two home games on the trot before the first bye week and they will have to win both or their season may well be over.

South Sydney put in their best performance on the year last week when beating the Dragons 24-10 in front of their home faithful, two tries inside the opening ten minutes set them on their way and they controlled the game thereafter.

With the teams winning around them they stay fifth on the ladder but another win here will most likely see them move into the top four.

Verdict - Souths carry the form and may well win but I am going to take a punt on the Cowboys with so much on the line for them, the must win this to stay in the hunt.

Storm 1.44 v Eagles 2.75

TIP - Over 40.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Storm 13+ @ 2.55 - BEST BET

The Storm took a while to get into top gear last week against the Titans going in at half time 14-8 down but a second half masterclass saw them keep the Titans scoreless as they ran in three unanswered tries to win the game 28-14.

With the Dragons losing the Storm are now only two wins off the pace at the top so they will want to win here to keep the pressure on the teams above them.

Manly beat the Broncos with something to spare last week 38-24 running in six tries in the process, the two points sees them move into 12th on the ladder but they remain six points behind 8th place.

Manly have lost all five away games this season and they have to break that cycle if they are to have any chance of putting a run together to get them back in contention for finals footy.

Verdict - With Manly struggling so badly on the road you cannot go past the Storm to win this and win this well, could be a landslide this one.

Dragons 1.34 v Raiders 3.20 - BEST BET

TIP - Over 42.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Dragons 13+ @ 2.20

The Dragons suffered only their second loss of the season last week when they were defeated 24-10 away against the Rabbitohs, unusually the Dragons were slow out of the blocks conceding two tries early doors and they were always on the back foot thereafter.

The Dragons will want to get back to winning ways here before they encounter the Panthers in round 12 and with a perfect home record of 5-0 this season they will most likely do that.

Canberra after winning two on the trot suffered a somewhat surprising defeat last week at home to the Sharks, the Raiders started brightly enough but the Sharks kept the Raiders scoreless in the second half while running in three tries to take the game 24-16.

The Raiders now find themselves four points behind 8th place on the ladder so a win is vital for them in their bid to reach the latter stages of the competition.

Verdict - Put last weeks Dragons performance to one side, they should bounce back here and put in a dominant performance on home soil.

Sharks 1.48 v Bulldogs 2.60

TIP - Under 38.5 Points @ 1.90 - BEST BET

TIP - Sharks 1-12 @ 3.15

Cronulla kept pace with the teams above them with their gutsy 24-16 win on the road against the Raiders last week thanks to a near perfect second half display which saw them keep the Raiders scoreless in the final 40 minutes.

With so many teams standing on 12 points they will see this home tie as a real chance of moving up the ladder if they can notch up another win here.

The Bulldogs after winning a crunch encounter against fellow strugglers the Eels last week move up the ladder into 13th place, the game finished 20-12 in the Bulldogs favour after they took full advantage of some needless penalties by the Eels.

This is a huge game for the Bulldogs with them already six points adrift of 8th place, a win sees them right back in the mix while a loss may well finish their season.

Verdict - Both teams need the win here and it should be a low scoring affair but I expect the Sharks to do just enough to take the two points.
