Wests Tigers 1.55 v Sea Eagles 2.40

TIP - Over 40.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Wests Tigers 1-12 @ 2.85

Wests Tigers top 8 aspirations lie in tatters after they lost last weeks match against the Dragons 20-10 at the Leichhardt Oval, 6-0 down at the break the Tigers pulled it back to 6-4 just after the break and tied the game on 52 minutes with an Esan Marsters penalty but two Dragons tries in the 63rd and 75th minute took the game away from the home side.

The Tigers can still finish in the top eight but they will have to win both their remaining fixtures well and hope either the Broncos or the Warriors fail to win another game.

Manly threw away the points last weekend against the Titans losing 42-34 after bossing the first half at Lottoland Stadium.

The Sea Eagles looked on course for their 5th home win of the season after taking a 22-10 lead into the half time break but the Titans turned on the style in the second half scoring five quick tries to take a 40-22 lead and end any hopes the Sea Eagles had of winning.

Verdict - Must win for Wests Tigers to keep their hopes alive, slight preference for the home side against a team that has only won three on the road this season.

Warriors 1.70 v Panthers 2.10

TIP -Over 38 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Panthers 1-12 @ 3.40 - BEST BET

The Warriors were undone by a late field goal in last weeks clash against the Bulldogs going down by one points 27-26 at ANZ Stadium, Lachlan Lewis made the game safe for the home side in the 78th minute scoring the winning field goal.

The Warriors drop one place down to 8th but they know a win from either of their last two games will see them finish in the top eight and extend their season in a bid to win the Premiership.

Penrith suffered a surprise defeat at home last week against the Knights 20-12 and in doing so slip outside the top four once again with only two games remaining, trailing 14-6 at the break the Panthers never looked like clawing back the deficit and a Ken Sio try in the 69th minute wrapped things up for the Knights

Although the Panthers slipped down to 5th place they are still only two points behind the Storm at the top so two wins from their last two games could well see them back in the top four depending on other results.

Verdict - Could go either way this one but slight preference is for the Panthers who may well be too strong for the Warriors in the second half.

Cowboys 1.60 v Eels 2.30 - BEST BET

TIP - Under 39.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Cowboys 13+ @ 3.00

The Cowboys remain at the foot of the ladder after suffering their 16th loss of the season last weekend against the Sharks at the Southern Cross Group Stadium

The game was in the balance until two late Sharks tries secured a 28-16 win for the home side and condemned the Cowboys to their ninth away loss this year.

Parramatta after walloping the Dragons in round 22 went into last weeks fixture against the Storm full of confidence but they could not reproduce that effort and went down tamely 20-4.

10-0 down at the half time interval the Eels never looked like scoring the points they needed to get back into the game and Melbourne ran out deserved winners.

Verdict - Basement battle this one, neither team have strung any results together this year but the Eels have lost all 11 games on the road so I would expect the Cowboys to win this one.

Raiders 2.20 v Rabbitohs 1.64

TIP - Over 44 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Raiders 1-12 @ 3.50

Canberra bounced back from round 22's narrow defeat against the Tigers last week beating the Roosters at home 14-12 thanks to four penalty goals from Sam Williams.

The Raiders went into the break 12-0 up but two Roosters converted tries levelled the game up with twenty minutes to go but Sam Williams converted his fourth penalty with ten minutes to go to put Canberra back in front and they held on to take the win.

The Rabbitohs suffered their second straight defeat last week going down 38-18 against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, always chasing the game after a slow start Souths got themselves back level at 18-18 early in the second half but that's as good as it got for the Rabbitohs as the Broncos ran home the better scoring another three tries.

South Sydney slip down to third place on the ladder and in real danger of slipping outside the top four unless they can turn things around here, a big game for the Sydney based side and a must win.

Verdict - With the Rabbitohs on the slide I am going to take a chance on the Raiders making it back to back wins, with home advantage being the deciding factor.

Titans 2.95 v Storm 1.38

TIP - Over 40.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Storm 13+ @ 2.65

Gold Coast after losing four of their last five stopped the rot last weekend beating the Sea Eagles 42-34 thanks to a superb second half display in which they ran in five tries.

Trailing 22-10 at the break the Titans started the second half well scoring two tries inside the first five minutes and things got even better when Mitch Rein gave them the lead in the 51st minute, two more tries for the Titans in the 59th and 62nd minute put them well clear of their rivals and although the Sea Eagles rallied late the damage was already done.

Melbourne ground out a 20-4 victory last week against the Eels at AAMI Park and with other teams around them losing they move back to top spot on the ladder with only two games to go.

Things are tight at the top win three teams sat on 32 points but the Storm have the better points difference going into the final two fixtures which gives them the advantage.

Verdict - If the Titans can reproduce last weeks second half effort then they will go close here but preference is for the Storm who will want to hold onto top spot with a comfortable win here.

Roosters 1.53 v Broncos 2.45

TIP - Under 39.5 Points @ 1.88 - BEST BET

TIP - Roosters 1-12 @ 2.90

The Roosters after four straight wins went into last weeks game against the Raiders as firm favourites but they suffered a surprise defeat going down 14-12 at the GIO Stadium.

The loss sees them slip one place down to second on the ladder with only two games to go, a must win game for the Sydney based outfit if they are to challenge for top spot.

Brisbane after losing to the Cowboys in round 22 bounced back last week putting up one of their best performances of the season when beating the Rabbitohs 38-18.

With that win and Wests Tigers losing their respective tie the Broncos look certain to finish in the top eight now, only two heavy losses for the Broncos would change that so they will want to keep things tight here.

Verdict - I expect the Roosters to maintain their good resent for and win this one but the Broncos should give them a stern test throughout.

Sharks 1.35 v Knights 3.10

TIP - Under 42.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Sharks 13+ @ 2.25

After their impressive win over the Storm in round 22 the Sharks made it back to back wins by beating the Cowboys 28-16 in front of their home crowd at the Southern Cross Group Stadium.

Cronulla find themselves only two points adrift of top spot so all is still to play for in their last two games, they may not finish top but they will believe they can sneak into the top four.

Newcastle surprised the Panthers last weekend beating them on the road 20-12 after losing their previous three fixtures.

The Knights started well scoring two tires inside the first twenty minutes and controlled the game thereafter to run out comfortable winners.

Verdict - The Sharks will want to maintain the pressure on the teams above them with a comfortable win here, they should be good enough and hold a decent 7-4 home record this season.

Dragons 1.62 v Bulldogs 2.25

TIP - Over 36.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Dragons 13+ @ 3.00

After a poor run of form the Dragons put their best foot forward last weekend when taking on Wests Tigers on the road and came out with a comfortable 20-10 victory.

That win sees them move back into the top four only two points adrift of the Storm who currently hold top spot but there are two other teams on the same points as the Dragons also looking for a top four birth so a win is a must here for the home side.

The Bulldogs got back to winning ways last weekend beating the Warriors 27-26 at ANZ Stadium in a real nail-biter in front of just under 10,000 fans.

The home side looked comfortable until Peta Hiku scored a try in the 75th minute for the Warriors which was converted by Shaun Johnson to level the game only for Lachlan Lewis to kick a winning field goal with two minutes to go.

Verdict - The Dragons have to win to keep the pressure on the teams above them, last weeks win will give them renewed confidence and they can make it back to back wins here at the expense of the Bulldogs.
