Rabbitohs 1.42 v Wests Tigers 2.85

TIP - Over 39.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Rabbitohs 13+ @ 2.50

Three losses on the bounce now for the Bunnies after they lost last weeks clash against the Raiders 24-14 down at GIO Stadium and their form will be a huge concern with the finals series fast approaching.

Souths started well and took a 12-4 lead into the break but it was all the Raiders in the second half scoring three tries and keeping the Rabbitohs scoreless throughout.

Wests Tigers did their part last weekend by winning their match against the Sea Eagles 22-20 in a bid to sneak into the top eight but with the Broncos and the Warriors also winning their finals hopes also disappeared.

All in all they will most likely take many positives from the season as a whole but will be bitterly disappointed initially that they missed the finals.

Verdict - Although the Bunnies are on a poor run I expect them to win this, the Tigers have nothing to play for and will just want the season to be over and it may well show in their performance.

Warriors 1.55 v Raiders 2.45 - BEST BET

TIP - Under 43.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Warriors 1-12 @ 2.85

The Warriors cemented their place in the top eight with victory over the Panthers last week and will head into this with the pressure off knowing they have secured their place in the finals.

The Warriors saved one of their best performances of the season until last weekend taking Penrith apart from the start eventually winning the game comfortably 36-16.

Canberra made it back to back wins last weekend when they beat the Rabbitohs 24-12, Michael Oldfield starred for the home side scoring two tries, one either side of half time.

A disappointing season on the whole for Canberra after missing out on the top eight, a slow start to the season proved their undoing along with many tight games going the wrong way.

Verdict - The Warriors only need to reproduce last weeks effort here to win this one and with them on home turf once more it is hard to go against them.

Storm 1.48 v Panthers 2.65

TIP - Over 37.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Storm 13+ @ 2.75

Melbourne made it back to back wins last weekend defeating the Titans 10-8 on the road, trailing 8-0 at the break the Storm found a way to grind out the win like we have seen time and time again.

The Storm have not been at their best in recent weeks but with other teams around them floundering they find themselves top of the ladder with one game to go and barring a big loss they should maintain their position.

Penrith after losing to the Knights in round 23 needed to win last weeks clash to have any realistic chance of finishing in the top four so a 36-16 loss against the Warriors was not what they had in mind.

Technically they can still make the top four but they would have to win this by a huge margin and hope one of the teams above them get flogged so it is highly unlikely.

Verdict - The Storm have a decent 8-3 home record this season and I expect them to improve on that here at the expense of the Panthers.

Knights 2.15 v Dragons 1.70

TIP - Under 40.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Knights 1-12 @ 3.20

Newcastle after their impressive win in round 23 against the Panthers took on the Sharks last weekend at the Southern Cross Group Stadium but they could not reproduce their efforts of the previous week going down tamely 38-12.

The game was in the balance at the break but a poor second half showing from the Knights condemned them to their 7th loss on the road this year and their 14th loss in total, not a good year for the NSW based side.

The wheels have fallen off at St George in previous weeks losing four of their last five games and that run of results has seen them slip down to 6th on the ladder with no hope of finishing in the top four.

Last weeks crushing 38-0 loss against the Bulldogs at home just highlighted how bad they are playing at the minute and they will need to turn things around quickly if they are to challenge for the premiership.

Verdict - With the Dragons struggling it may well be prudent to oppose them here, the Knights are decent odds to take the points and home ground advantage will help their cause.

Titans 2.50 v Cowboys 1.53

TIP - Under 42.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Cowboys 1-12 @ 3.80

Gold Coast put up a good effort last week against the Storm but couldn't hold on to their 8-0 half time lead and eventually went down 10-8 at the Cbus Super Stadium.

Another poor season for the Titans who languish down in 13th place with one game to play, they will want to finish off on a positive note at home and against their Queensland rivals.

The Cowboys after a terrible season have finally found a little bit of form winning three of their last five but it's too little too late for the Queensland side in regards ladder position.

Last weeks victory against the against the Eels was possibly their best effort of the year and the 44-6 win was a fitting result in Johnathan Thurston's last home game for the club.

Verdict - The Cowboys only need to reproduce last weeks effort to win this, they have been better in recent weeks and preference is for them to take the points.

Eels 4.00 v Roosters 1.24

TIP - Over 43.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Roosters 13+ @ 2.00

Another heavy loss for Parramatta last weekend against the Cowboys up at 1300SMILES Stadium losing 44-6 pretty much guarantees they will collect the wooden spoon this season.

The Eels have failed to win any of their twelve fixtures on the road in 2018 and that stat pretty much sums up their efforts this year, enough said!!

The Roosters after losing to Canberra in round 23 took on the Broncos last weekend hoping for a win to maintain their challenge in a bid to finish top of the ladder this season.

Things didn't go quite to plan in front of their home support and they went down tamely 22-8, that loss pretty much seals their fate in the race for top spot and they will now look to hold onto second place.

Verdict - Not at their best in recent weeks but the Roosters should have too much in the locker for the Eels who were very poor last weekend once again.

Bulldogs 2.60 v Sharks 1.50

TIP - Under 42 Points @ 1.88 BEST BET

TIP - Sharks 1-12 @ 3.90

The Bulldogs stretched their decent run of form to 4-1 last weekend when they brushed aside the Dragons 38-0 at the Jubilee Oval and moved up to 12th on the ladder in the process.

They have been better than their ladder position suggests this season but that will be little comfort to them after missing the top eight by some margin.

Cronulla needed to win last weekend to have any chance of finishing in the top four and they duly obliged with a comfortable 38-12 victory against the Knights at the Southern Cross Group Stadium.

With the Dragons and the Panthers both losing heavily the Sharks move from 6th to 4th on the ladder knowing a win here secures 4th and even a tight loss may well be good enough to hold their position.

Verdict - The Sharks may well look to keep this tight with a low scoring game in mind and they may well edge a tight one.

Broncos 1.45 v Sea Eagles 2.75

TIP - Over 44.5 Points @ 1.88

TIP - Broncos 13+ @ 2.25 - BEST BET

Brisbane after defeating the Rabbitohs in round 23 travelled to Sydney to take on the Roosters last weekend in their bid to secure a top eight birth and they delighted their travelling fans with a 22-8 victory.

With finals footy now assured and the pressure off at least for a few weeks you may see the Broncos at their best here in front of their home support.

Manly headed to Campbelltown Stadium last weekend to take on Wests Tigers in a bid to foil their slim top eight hopes and although they gave them a scare they eventually went down 22-20.

A poor season for the Sea Eagles sees them second from bottom with one round to go, they will want to finish off on a high but this is a tough ask for a team who has been poor on the road this year winning only three from eleven.

Verdict - This should be another victory for the Broncos and they may well put Manly to the sword throughout and put a fare few points on the board.
