FRIDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Sharks 1.67 v Panthers 2.25
TIP - Under 37.5 Points @ 1.88
TIP - Sharks 1-12 @ 2.85
Head to Head - Round 7 Sharks 26-22 Panthers, Round 18 Panthers 12-24 Sharks
The Sharks lost last weeks clash against the Rooster 21-12 and now they are in the last chance saloon, Cronulla got off to the perfect start last weekend with Sosaia Feki putting them in front inside the opening five minutes but the Roosters soon hit back and went in at half time 10-6 to the good.
The Sharks regained the lead just after the half time break thanks to an Edrick Lee converted try only for the Roosters to dominate thereafter scoring two quick tries in reply and sealing the game with a penalty and a drop goal inside the last ten minutes.
Penrith didn't have the luxury of getting a second chance if they lost their fixture against the Warriors, it was all or nothing for them and they stood up to the task well coming out on top 27-12 but they had to come from behind to do so.
The Warriors came out flying scoring two quick tries before the Panthers woke up but Penrith hit back with three tries of their own in a blistering ten minute spell that saw them go in at half time 18-12 to the good, once Christian Crichton went over ten minutes into the second half the Panthers never looked like losing.
Verdict - The Sharks have beaten the Panthers twice this season, it may well be close but I will take them to make that three with a win here.
SATURDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2018
Rabbitohs 1.24 v Dragons 4.25
TIP - Over 42.5 Points @ 1.88
TIP - Dragons 13+ @ 13.00 - BEST BET
Head to Head - Round 5 Dragons 16-12 Rabbitohs, Round 10 Rabbitohs 24-10 Dragons
The Rabbitohs were unlucky last weekend going down by a solitary point against the Storm at AAMI Park 29-28 after Cameron Munster won it for Melbourne with a 76th minute field goal.
In a game that ebbed and flowed throughout with the lead changing hands several times in the last fifteen it was the Rabbitohs who suffered heartache and go into this weeks sudden death decider.
The Dragons bulldozed the Broncos last weekend in the first half of their clash and in doing so took a 28-10 lead into the half time break, more of the same followed in the second half as St George ran out impressive 48-18 winners.
The Dragons had a few tough weeks on the run in but they have found their stride again in the last few weeks, they may be timing their run just right, when it counts!!
Verdict - Brilliant last week against the Broncos the Dragons will only have to repeat that effort to win here at ridiculous odds.
